When fishing boats occupied most docks at Fisherman's Wharf, eccentric liveaboards came and went; once, they produced a floating shower that had to be disconnected when people began getting electric shocks. The Wharf is now home to an eclectic mix including the fishing fleet, live-aboards, float home dwellers and many commercial tour operators.
